Children should bring daily, several changes of clothes. Parents must also supply their own diapers. Bring a daily supply with your child's changes of clothes, but please do not bring boxes of diapers to store at our facility.
The Toddler Center Program, for ages 18 months
to 30 months, is designed to help children develop physically, socially,
creatively, and intellectually. The children are provided opportunities to develop
their whole personalities through hands-on activities, social interaction,
movement, and stimulating experiences. These activities encourage
them to appropriately express emotions and to think through and
analyze problems. The programs offer the children a balance of both
structured and unstructured activities.
Activities
Children in the Toddler Center Program also participate in developmental gymnastics where they learn to follow instructions and work together while developing larger motor and coordination skills, balance, body control, special awareness, sequencing, and locomotor movements. Story time, music, and art activities are conducted each morning. During this time children are divided into age groups so that the activities are appropriate to their level of understanding.
Nutrition
The Toddler Center children burn a lot of energy throughout the day and good nutrition supports successful learning and growth, so a healthy snack is provided mid-morning and afternoon. A nutritious lunch is provided for children staying a full day.
Teachers
The teacher-to-child ratio is 1-5, a lower level than the State requires. This allows ample opportunity for the needs of each child to be met. The toddler Center teachers have all met State requirements for pre-school teachers with college courses in Early childhood Education. Our staff share the philosophy that children learn best in a positive, caring, physically and educationally stimulating environment.
Schedule
The Toddler Center operates on a monthly schedule with tuition due on the 1st of each month. Tuition is based on your scheduled days. After the 1st child, a 10% discount is given on tuition for additional siblings enrolled in the Kids club, Cool Kids, or Learning Center programs. A $50.00 late fee will be charged for payments received after the 5th of the month. If tuition is not paid by the 10th of the month your child may not attend.
